Steering Committee Members
The Global Social Service Workforce Alliance is overseen and guided by a diverse Steering Committee, which includes senior experts, academics and experienced practitioners from the field of social work and the wider social welfare sector. Steering Committee members participate in strategic planning and decision making and support the Alliance’s mission to promote and strengthen the social service workforce globally.
We're currently seeking three individuals from various regions and backgrounds to join our Steering Committee and widen our global and thematic reach. Currently, we're looking to fill gaps in representation from the Latin America and the Caribbean, Asia and the Pacific, and the Middle East and North Africa regions. We also aim to include members with experience or knowledge of the following thematic areas as they relate to social service workforce strengthening: early childhood development, care for aging populations, mental health, disability services, gender-based violence, criminal justice, humanitarian situations / disaster risk reduction and response (including climate change).
