Theme: Implementing National Workforce Strengthening Strategies

Overview:  The 2018 Social Service Workforce Strengthening Symposium, held 8 May 2018, focused on developing and implementing national workforce strengthening strategies.  The symposium featured countries that have formed multi-stakeholder national leadership groups or committees to create and implement comprehensive national workforce strengthening strategies. Country-based panels of speakers provided examples of how they have helped to elevate the discussion about the workforce, brought more visibility to the topic, and designed and implemented strategies to better plan, develop and support the workforce.
